I am so excited to share my passion for this medium. The workshop will include a brief history of the encaustic art form dating back thousands of years, and how artists are using it today.

The Students will be painting and creating their own encaustic pieces in this workshop. All supplies are included; wax, panels, etc. You do not need to bring anything. The wax does not come off clothing so perhaps wear old painting clothes.

We will also talk about safety practices in the studio, the various tools and supports, encaustic terms and how to make your own medium. Beeswax is a wonderful, tactile medium that is easy to work with and easy to fall in love with!

Looking forward to meeting you. Anna Koot
